Fri Apr 12, 2013
Children greatly benefit from a mother at home, especially before the kids are in school.
There may be millions more poor people in the US than you think
Fri May 3, 2013
You left out a lot of people. If you call yourself a Christian, it would be a good idea to read Matthew 25:32-46. Most right wing Christians ignore it--to their peril.
Morning Joe poll: 60 percent of Americans want stricter gun laws
Wed Apr 3, 2013
The author never said what question was actually asked. If you understand anything about polling, you realize that the way the question is framed will have a larger impact on results than most other factors.
Death takes no holiday: Tracking gun violence over one long January weekend
Sun Feb 10, 2013
Where is the memorial for the hundreds who probably died in car accidents? What about heart disease? Health deterioration due to addiction (alchohol, tobacco, drugs? I think putting this article into perspectiive would make a much weaker case for attempting to prevent law abiding citizens from pu …
'Good drivers' often pay more for insurance, study finds

The reason that less educated people or people with lower incomes tend to pay more for insurance probably has to do with 2 things 1) credit scores and 2) the fact that a poor person is probably less likely to shop around.
New 'Practice Range' app says it's from NRA, which blamed video games for violence
Tue Jan 15, 2013

Obama says he'll 'vigorously' pursue 'meaningful' assault weapons ban
Mon Jan 14, 2013
There absolutely is a reason for a regular citizen to own a gun, even (or especially) those that are termed "assault rifles" (basically meaning anything that people pushing gun control can make appear unreasonable for a person to own).
Americans far more likely to suffer violent deaths than peers
Thu Jan 10, 2013
Why doesn't the author provide a link to the study, or even mention the name of the "leading researchers" or even the name of their study.
Fisher-Price recalls 800,000 baby sleepers for possible mold
Tue Jan 8, 2013
Why not just clean it every once in a while instead of having the Federal Government mandate a recall? Just a thought. I guess personal accountability would be too much to ask.
Employed but still homeless, working poor say 'Homelessness can happen to anybody'
Wed Nov 28, 2012
It sounds like the family this article describes could have benefitted greatly from some simple financial advice. If you can't afford all of your liabilities, you don't fall behind on your rent first, you call and get your student loans deferred or the payment reduced, then stop paying other debt.
Questions & Answers
What do you think of educational programs for babies?
They're a waste of time and money.
We actually bought these videos (used). Our son was not very interested & we didn't want him watching TV that much.
